Best TikTok Scraping APIs in 2026: Compared and Ranked

Nobody wants to write this comparison. Every provider claims to be the best, success rates get inflated in self-reported benchmarks, pricing pages hide the actual cost structure, and TikTok updates their anti-bot measures often enough that last month's benchmark is already partially stale.
But the question is real: you need TikTok data, the official API will not give it to you commercially, and there are now half a dozen serious options for programmatic access. Which one do you actually use?
This is an honest comparison. ScrapeBadger is our product and it is on this list. We think it is the best option for most commercial teams โ and we will explain exactly why, including the scenarios where a competitor genuinely outperforms us.
Why the Official API Does Not Solve This
The quick version, because it matters for understanding what you are evaluating.
TikTok's Research API is real. It is also restricted to qualifying academic institutions, takes roughly four weeks to approve, caps at 1,000 requests per day, and prohibits commercial use. Every option in this guide exists because the legitimate commercial path is closed.
31% of brands name TikTok as their primary influencer investment channel in 2026. TikTok Shop has surpassed $2 billion in US GMV. 49% of US consumers use the platform as a search engine. The data inside TikTok โ trending sounds, creator performance, hashtag momentum, comment sentiment, competitor ad spend โ is commercially critical for a significant portion of the market. The official API serves approximately none of them.
The options below are what commercial teams actually use.
The Eight Questions That Determine Which Tool Is Right
Before comparing providers, answer these questions. Your answers determine which option fits and which ones to ignore.
1. How deep do you need to go? A profile and some video stats is very different from full comment threads, voice-to-text transcripts, related video recommendations, and the EU ad library.
2. Is TikTok your only data source, or one of several? Teams needing TikTok plus Reddit, Amazon, Google, and Twitter data need a multi-product platform. Teams needing TikTok only should evaluate social-specialist tools.
3. Do you need regional data? TikTok content is region-aware. German trending is not US trending. If you are running multi-market campaigns or monitoring international competitors, regional routing matters.
4. Does your team write code, or do you need a UI? Some tools are API-first. Others have visual dashboards. This genuinely changes which tool is usable for your team.
5. Do you need AI agent integration? If you are building with Claude, Cursor, or any MCP-compatible agent framework, tool availability via MCP is a serious differentiator.
6. What does predictable billing look like for you? Subscription models, per-result billing, compute-unit billing, and credit-based billing all produce different cost structures at scale. Unpredictable billing is a real operational problem.
7. Do you have compliance requirements? SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR-specific infrastructure โ these only matter if your procurement team asks for them, but if they do, they immediately narrow the field.
8. What is your maintenance tolerance? Some tools are maintained by a dedicated team on SLA. Others depend on community contributors who update when they can.
The Providers
ScrapeBadger โ Best for Commercial Teams Needing Depth
ScrapeBadger's TikTok Scraper has 22 dedicated endpoints covering profiles, videos, comments, comment replies, transcripts, related videos, hashtags, music, four search modes, three trending feeds, the EU ad library, and regional discovery. The credit costs run from 2 (lightweight oEmbed metadata) to 10 (transcripts). Zero credits for failed requests.
The three things that differentiate ScrapeBadger most clearly from every other option on this list:
Transcripts. No other TikTok scraping API offers voice-to-text transcript access. The transcript endpoint returns the full ASR (Automatic Speech Recognition) text of a video, segmented by timestamp, in every available subtitle language. In 2026 where TikTok is increasingly a search engine, the text content of high-performing videos is SEO-critical intelligence. Brands researching competitor content strategy, AI developers building training datasets, and SEO teams analysing what language TikTok's algorithm rewards for specific queries all need transcript data. Nobody else offers it as a clean endpoint.
EU Ad Library. TikTok's Commercial Content Library is a regulatory requirement under the EU Digital Services Act โ a public database of every ad running on TikTok to EU audiences. ScrapeBadger's ad library endpoint is the only programmatic access to this data outside of manual browsing of TikTok's transparency portal. For brands competing in European markets, this is uniquely valuable competitive intelligence: what your competitors are promoting, when they started, and what creative approach they are running.
MCP integration. The ScrapeBadger MCP server exposes all 22 TikTok endpoints as native tool calls to Claude, Cursor, and any MCP-compatible AI agent. An agent that has access to the MCP can run a full TikTok research workflow โ profile pull, video history analysis, comment sentiment, trend brief, competitor ad library check โ as a single reasoning loop without any custom integration code. No other TikTok data provider has MCP support.
What else matters: Credits never expire. No subscription required. Regional proxy routing is explicit via a region parameter โ you specify the country, ScrapeBadger routes through matched proxies and signs the request accordingly. The same API key covers Google, Amazon, Reddit, and Twitter data โ one integration, one billing relationship, across every major data source a commercial intelligence team needs. Full documentation at docs.scrapebadger.com/tiktok/overview.
Where ScrapeBadger is not the right choice: No visual dashboard. If your team needs to run TikTok collection without writing any code or calling any API, ScrapeBadger requires a developer. Apify has this covered.
Best for: Commercial teams with developers who need the full TikTok data model, multi-source data pipelines, AI agent workflows, or EU ad intelligence.
Apify โ Best for No-Code and Non-Technical Teams
Apify is an app store for scrapers rather than a scraping API. Their marketplace contains 30,000+ pre-built Actors โ packaged scrapers for specific websites โ and the TikTok category has 185,000 users across several maintained Actors. The most-used TikTok Actor (clockworks/tiktok-scraper) covers profiles, videos, hashtags, comments, music, and search.
The core appeal: configure inputs in a visual UI, click run, download structured data. No API calls, no SDK installation, no code. For a marketing analyst who needs to pull TikTok competitor data without a developer, Apify's Actor interface makes it genuinely accessible.
Pricing reality: Apify pricing is two-layer and notoriously hard to predict before you have run a specific Actor. The TikTok Scraper on Apify runs approximately $1.70 per 1,000 posts, but that figure combines compute units (CPU time ร memory ร duration) and per-result fees, which vary by Actor. As one Capterra reviewer noted in April 2026: "Estimating the cost of a new Actor run before executing it is largely guesswork." Run a 50-item test before scaling any Actor to understand your actual cost per result.
Apify's free tier includes $5/month in platform credits โ enough to validate a workflow before committing. Starter plan is $29/month.
The maintenance risk: Every Actor on Apify is maintained by its publisher โ either Apify themselves, a partner company, or a community contributor. When TikTok updates their anti-bot measures (which happens regularly), success rates drop until the maintainer ships an update. The clockworks TikTok Scraper has an 87,000+ user base that incentivises maintenance, but "success rate dropped after platform update โ pause large jobs and wait for a fix" is a documented Apify experience. For production pipelines with uptime requirements, this community-maintenance model is a genuine operational consideration.
What Apify does well: No-code access for non-technical teams. The Actor marketplace gives you scrapers for 30,000+ sites beyond TikTok โ useful if your team needs TikTok plus a long tail of other targets. Built-in scheduling, storage, and webhook delivery. Integrations with n8n, Make, and Zapier for automation workflows.
Best for: Marketing teams and analysts who need TikTok data without developer involvement. Teams running batch collection jobs on a schedule. Organisations already on Apify for other scraping targets.
Bright Data โ Best for Enterprise Compliance Requirements
Bright Data's TikTok coverage sits within their Web Scraper API alongside 437+ other pre-built scrapers. Their headline is a 98.44% average success rate across an independent benchmark of 11 providers โ the highest in the market โ backed by a 400M+ residential IP network across 195 countries.
The pricing for this infrastructure is enterprise-grade. Web Scraper IDE starts at $499/month. Total cost depends on which Bright Data products you combine โ proxy network, unlocker, scraper IDE, and managed datasets are all separate billing layers. For most teams evaluating TikTok scraping options, Bright Data is architecturally overkill and commercially unrealistic.
Where Bright Data makes sense: ISO 27001 and SOC 2 certification. If your procurement team has a compliance questionnaire that requires certified infrastructure, Bright Data is currently the only TikTok data provider that clears these gates. For regulated industries โ financial services, healthcare, enterprise SaaS sold to enterprises with compliance requirements โ this clears a procurement blocker that every other provider on this list cannot.
Best for: Enterprise teams with formal compliance requirements and budgets where $499/month is a rounding error.
Data365 โ Best for Multi-Social Focus at Scale
Data365 is a social media data specialist โ not a general scraping tool with TikTok support, but a platform built specifically around six social networks: TikTok, Instagram, Reddit, Twitter, Facebook, and Threads. Their eight-year focus on social data infrastructure shows in the data model completeness.
Pricing starts at $0.60 per 1,000 records versus the industry average of $0.98. Rates decrease with volume. The pricing is credit-based and transparent โ defined per data type rather than the compute-unit ambiguity of Apify.
Data365 is notably strong on follower and following data โ an area where ScrapeBadger explicitly does not operate (these endpoints require authenticated sessions, which ScrapeBadger intentionally does not support). If follower lists are a core part of your TikTok intelligence workflow, Data365 covers this.
What Data365 lacks: Transcripts. EU ad library. MCP integration. And it is social-only โ if your data stack includes Amazon, Google, or web scraping alongside TikTok, you will need a second vendor.
Best for: Teams needing pure social media data across multiple platforms at volume, particularly if follower/following lists are required use cases.
SociaVault โ Best for Simplicity and Social-Only Use Cases
SociaVault is built specifically for social media data with a deliberately simple interface: one REST endpoint per data type, single API key, structured JSON output. No compute units, no Actor marketplace, no platform overhead.
TikTok coverage includes profiles, posted videos, and trending data. The data model is narrower than ScrapeBadger's 22-endpoint suite โ SociaVault covers the most common use cases without the depth of transcripts, related videos, comment replies, or EU ad library access.
The pricing is competitive for the covered use cases, with a free tier of 50 credits per sign-up for evaluation.
Best for: Developers who want the simplest possible social API and whose use case does not require advanced TikTok data types. Side projects, MVPs, and teams validating a product idea before committing to production infrastructure.
Oxylabs โ Enterprise Infrastructure, Premium Cost
Oxylabs provides TikTok scraping through their Web Scraper API, backed by enterprise-grade proxy infrastructure with OxyCopilot AI code generation for integration. Their pricing positions them as a mid-to-high enterprise alternative to Bright Data โ similar infrastructure quality, somewhat more accessible pricing, similar compliance posture.
For pure TikTok data, Oxylabs is not the most direct path. Their strength is multi-target enterprise scraping infrastructure where TikTok is one of many targets. Teams already using Oxylabs for other enterprise scraping targets can add TikTok without a second vendor relationship.
Best for: Enterprise teams already on Oxylabs with a need to add TikTok to an existing scraping program.

The Scenarios That Determine Your Choice
"I need TikTok trend data for a marketing intelligence platform"
This is ScrapeBadger's core use case. Trending videos, hashtags, and songs โ with actual on-device signing rather than deprecated Creative Center data. Regional routing for multi-market coverage. The same API key that pulls TikTok trends can pull Google Trends in the same call chain for cross-platform signal validation. If you are building the platform rather than running the analysis yourself, the multi-product coverage and predictable per-credit billing makes financial modeling clean.
"I'm a marketing analyst who doesn't write code and needs competitor TikTok data"
Apify. Configure the clockworks TikTok Scraper in the UI, set your inputs, download CSV or JSON. You do not need a developer, you do not need to read API documentation, and you can schedule it to run daily. Accept the pricing unpredictability and the community maintenance risk as trade-offs for genuine no-code accessibility.
"We're building an AI agent that does TikTok research automatically"
ScrapeBadger via MCP. No other provider offers native MCP tool exposure. An agent connected to ScrapeBadger's MCP server can call the trending endpoints, search for specific creators, pull their video history, analyse transcript content, and check the EU ad library โ all as native tool calls in a single reasoning session. Apify has an MCP connector but it adds the Actor abstraction layer on top of it, which creates more friction in agent reasoning loops.
"Our compliance team requires SOC 2 certification from all data vendors"
Bright Data. This is not a close call โ they are the only option with the certifications most enterprise procurement requires. The cost premium is real and significant. If your compliance requirement is non-negotiable, budget for it.
"I need follower lists as part of my influencer discovery workflow"
This is the one area where ScrapeBadger explicitly does not compete. The followers, following, and liked-video endpoints require authenticated TikTok sessions, and ScrapeBadger intentionally does not support account-based access. Data365 covers this comprehensively. Apify has actors that cover follower data. Bright Data has coverage. If follower list access is genuinely core to your workflow rather than a nice-to-have, ScrapeBadger is not the right pick for that specific use case.
"I need TikTok data plus Amazon, Reddit, and Google in one pipeline"
ScrapeBadger is the only option here. Data365 and SociaVault are social-only. Apify can technically cover all of these through different Actors โ but different Actors means different pricing models, different maintenance status, and different response schemas to normalise. ScrapeBadger covers all of these under one key, one billing relationship, one consistent response format, and one MCP server.
"I'm validating whether TikTok data is useful for our use case before committing"
Every provider on this list has a meaningful free tier. ScrapeBadger gives you 1,000 credits with no credit card โ enough to test profile pulls, trending data, and a few video detail calls against your actual use case. Use the free trial to answer the one question that matters: does the data you can actually access address the business problem you are trying to solve? The pricing conversation comes after.
What None of Them Cover
One gap worth knowing before you commit to any provider: the content you cannot get through any scraping API is private content, deleted content, TikTok's internal analytics (actual reach, impression breakdowns, follow sources), and โ since the 2026 UMG dispute โ many music artist attribution fields which now return blank from TikTok's own data layer.
No scraping API can return data that TikTok has removed from public access. The limits of any tool in this comparison are ultimately TikTok's limits, not the tool's limits.
The Bottom Line
The honest version of this comparison:
If you are a commercial team building on TikTok data and you need depth, the full data model including transcripts and EU ad intelligence, multi-source data alongside TikTok, or AI agent integration โ ScrapeBadger is the right starting point. 1,000 free credits, no credit card, test against your actual use case before deciding.
If you need no-code access and your team does not write code โ Apify's Actor marketplace is genuinely the most accessible option. Budget conservatively and run a test before scaling.
If enterprise compliance certification is a hard procurement requirement โ Bright Data is the only option. Accept the cost and complexity as the price of the certification.
If your workflow requires follower lists as a primary data type โ Data365 covers this well and at competitive pricing.

FAQ
Can I switch providers without rewriting my entire integration?
Partially. The response schemas differ enough between providers that switching requires remapping field names. The queries themselves are usually similar โ most providers accept a username or video ID and return JSON. The migration from any provider to ScrapeBadger typically takes one to two days of engineering time for a straightforward integration. The harder migration is from Apify, where the Actor abstraction means you are not calling a standard REST API โ you are triggering an Actor run and polling for results.
What happens to my data if a provider goes down?
This is a real operational risk with community-maintained tools like Apify Actors โ an Actor that breaks after a TikTok update may have no defined SLA for when it gets fixed. Provider-maintained APIs (ScrapeBadger, Bright Data, Data365) have internal teams responsible for maintaining uptime. No provider offers guaranteed uptime SLAs that would satisfy most enterprise procurement requirements โ Bright Data comes closest with their enterprise agreements.
Is it legal to scrape TikTok data commercially?
As covered in the full TikTok scraping guide on the ScrapeBadger blog, this sits in the same legal gray zone as scraping any major social platform. TikTok's Terms of Service prohibit automated access. The hiQ v. LinkedIn Ninth Circuit ruling established that scraping publicly visible data does not violate the CFAA. Commercial use of publicly visible TikTok data for business intelligence purposes is widely practised. Using a third-party API rather than scraping directly shifts the ToS relationship โ you are calling an API, not scraping TikTok. Consult legal counsel for specific use cases, particularly those involving EU user data under the DSA framework.
Which provider is cheapest for high-volume TikTok collection?
Data365 at $0.60/1,000 records is the lowest headline rate among providers with transparent pricing. ScrapeBadger at 5-10 credits per endpoint call is competitive for most common queries. Apify at ~$1.70/1K is mid-range but the actual cost depends heavily on compute usage. Bright Data does not publish pricing โ assume enterprise rates.
