The API groups its surfaces into three families, each a set of dedicated endpoints returning the same normalized JSON.
No proxy setup. No session management. No anti-bot configuration.
Call any Naver endpoint with your API key — a query to search web, news or blog, a term for local or shopping, or a place id for detail and reviews. REST or SDK.
ScrapeBadger routes the request through a clean Korean exit, detects blocks, normalizes the result, and escalates to a real browser when needed.
Receive normalized JSON — search results, place listings with ratings and reviews, or bestseller rankings and keyword insight — ready to store or analyse.
Scraping Naver gives you the search, local and shopping layers of the Korean web — what ranks, which businesses lead, and what the market is buying.
Track where a domain ranks on Naver for your keyword set over time. Naver — not Google — is where most Korean search demand lands, and its ranking surfaces are its own.
Watch what Naver web, news and blog search surface for your brand and your competitors’, and catch a new entrant or a negative post reaching page one.
Pull Place/Local listings with address, category, rating and visitor reviews to map a market, benchmark competitors or enrich a location dataset.
Collect visitor reviews for a Naver Place to measure sentiment, spot recurring complaints and track a rating as it moves.
Read bestseller rankings per Naver Shopping category, filtered by shopper age and time window, to see what is selling and how rankings shift.
Mine autocomplete suggestions and DataLab Shopping insight to build a Korean keyword list from real search interest, not from translation.
You only pay for successful responses — failed requests are always free. PAYG credits never expire; volume subscription tiers reduce per-credit cost further.

ScrapeBadger's Naver Scraper API handles everything Naver throws at automated requests — so your pipeline keeps running.
Naver blends web results, news and its enormous blog corpus — the backbone of Korean user-generated content. Each is a dedicated endpoint returning the same clean, normalized JSON, so you query one surface or all three.
Local search returns business listings, place detail fills in address, phone, hours, rating and review count, and the reviews endpoint pages through the visitor reviews themselves — a full local-business picture from three calls.
Bestseller rankings for a Naver Shopping category come back as an ordered list — rank, product, price and mall — filterable by shopper age group, sort and time period.
Shopping insight returns Naver DataLab’s search-interest trend for a category over the date range and interval you choose, so you can see demand rise and fall without a DataLab account.
The suggestions Naver’s own search box offers for a partial query come back as a plain array — the cheapest source of real Korean query variants there is, and no separate crawl.
Naver’s own APIs need a registered Korean developer account and app keys. This one needs a ScrapeBadger key. Proxies, exits and anti-bot handling are ours to manage, not yours.
Get started in minutes with Python, Node.js, or plain HTTP requests.
The scrapebadger Node.js library wraps the Naver API with typed methods. Install with npm install scrapebadger, then start scraping Naver in a few lines of code.
import ScrapeBadger from 'scrapebadger'
const client = new ScrapeBadger({ apiKey: 'sb_live_...' })
// Korean web search
const { organic_results } = await client.naver.search({
query: '제주도 맛집',
page: 1,
})
for (const r of organic_results) {
console.log(r.position, r.url, r.title)
}
// What Naver's own search box suggests
const { suggestions } = await client.naver.autocomplete({ query: '제주' })import ScrapeBadger from 'scrapebadger'
const client = new ScrapeBadger({ apiKey: 'sb_live_...' })
// Local search → place detail → visitor reviews
const { places } = await client.naver.local({ query: '강남 카페' })
const place = await client.naver.place(places[0].place_id)
const { reviews } = await client.naver.placeReviews(places[0].place_id)
console.log(place.name, place.rating, reviews.length)
// Bestseller rankings for a Shopping category
const { products } = await client.naver.shoppingBestsellers({
category_id: '50000000',
})Common questions about scraping Naver with the API — Python, Node.js, or REST.
No. You only need a ScrapeBadger API key. Naver’s own open APIs require a registered developer account with per-app client credentials — none of that is involved here.
Naver web results, Naver News and Naver Blog — each its own endpoint — plus the autocomplete suggestions Naver’s search box returns for a partial query. All come back as the same normalized JSON.
Yes. Local search returns Place/Local business listings for a query, place detail returns the full record for one place (address, phone, hours, rating, review count), and the reviews endpoint pages through that place’s visitor reviews.
Two things: bestseller rankings for a Naver Shopping category — filterable by shopper age group, sort and time period — and DataLab keyword search-interest insight for a category over a date range. It does not do arbitrary product search or SmartStore storefront data.
Korean returns by far the richest results, since that is where Naver’s index is deepest. English queries work too, but Naver is a Korean-market portal and Korean is where it shines.
It returns a 422 and costs you nothing. Credits are only deducted for successful responses, so you never pay for a block or a retry.
Per-request credit costs are listed above. For higher monthly volume, subscription tiers reduce the per-credit rate substantially. All Naver endpoints — search, news, blog, local, place, reviews and shopping — are included on every plan.
